Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

CrossFit TWA ("TWA", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it. It applies to our website, our gym and any other way you deal with us.

1. Who we are

  • Business: CrossFit TWA, operated by TWAHQ Pty Ltd (ABN 77 661 592 365)
  • Address: 2/12 Bon-Mace Close, Berkeley Vale NSW 2261, Australia
  • Email: info@twa-hq.com.au
  • Phone: 0402 924 887

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What we collect

  • Contact details: name, date of birth, address, email and phone. You give us these when you enquire, sign up, book a class or a call (through Calendly), or message us on Instagram or Facebook.
  • Membership and training details: membership type, class bookings and attendance, goals and workout results. These are kept in our member software, PushPress, which we also use for enquiries, payments, drop-in questionnaires, and emails and text messages to members.
  • Payment details: billing history and the last digits of your card. Card payments are processed through PushPress; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Health information, only with your consent: injuries, medical conditions, or pregnancy and post-partum status that you choose to tell us, for example in the pre-exercise questionnaire in PushPress or the nutrition coaching questionnaire in Google Forms, so we can coach you safely.
  • Security camera footage: we have cameras in the gym for the safety and security of members, staff and equipment.
  • Marketing preferences: whether you have agreed to receive emails or messages from us.
  • Website usage: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived at our site. See section 5.

We don't train anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal information about anyone under 16.

3. Why we use it

  • To run your membership: sign-ups, class bookings, programming and keeping you safe while training.
  • To take payments for memberships, personal training and other purchases.
  • To keep in touch: class updates, events and offers. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
  • To improve our services and advertising, for example by seeing which pages and ads bring people to us.
  • To meet legal obligations such as tax records and insurance.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with:

  • Service providers that help us run the gym, such as PushPress, Calendly, Google and Meta. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
  • Our coaches and staff, who see only what they need to coach you.
  • Professional advisers such as our accountant or insurer, when needed.
  • Government agencies or law enforcement, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers store data overseas, mainly in the United States. We use well-known providers that protect personal information to standards comparable to the APPs.

5. Website analytics and advertising

Our website uses:

  • Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. It uses cookies and gives us statistics, not your name.
  • Meta Pixel to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show our ads to people who have visited our site.
  • Google Maps, embedded on some pages to show where we are. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads.
  • Spotify, embedded on our home page to play The TWA Podcast. Spotify may set its own cookies when the player loads.

You can limit this tracking at any time:

Our site still works if you block these cookies.

6. How we protect it

We keep personal information in secure, password-protected systems from reputable providers, and only give coaches and staff the access they need. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

7. How long we keep it

  • Members and former members: records, including payment records, are kept for 7 years after your membership ends.
  • Enquiries: if you get in touch but don't join, we keep your details for 18 months, or until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe.
  • Security camera footage: kept for at least 30 days, then recorded over automatically.

After that, we securely delete or de-identify it.

8. Your rights

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that's wrong or out of date.
  • Opt out of marketing at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" or replying "STOP".
  • Ask us to delete your information where the law allows.

Email info@twa-hq.com.au to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity first.

9. Other websites

Our website and social pages link to other sites, such as Instagram, Facebook and our booking system. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the law, our services or our providers change. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.

11. Questions and complaints

Email info@twa-hq.com.au or write to CrossFit TWA, 2/12 Bon-Mace Close, Berkeley Vale NSW 2261. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.
